Text Box: COMEDK: Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka COMEDK Test is being conducted by the Karnataka Private Medical and Dental Colleges Association every year for taking admission into Medical, Engineering and Dental courses through different entry levels such as : COMEDK- UGET: This exam is conducted for taking admissions into under graduate level courses. COMEDK- PGET: This exam is conducted for taking admissions into post graduate level courses. The Comedk is formed to offer an effective, fair and objective testing procedure to determine merit of students seeking admission to the member institutions under the association. Comedk follows the Single window system (centralized counseling) to conduct the entrance test and publication of test score and rank list. Candidates will be eligible to get compete for their desired engineering or medical branches or courses through Comedk. Eligibility: Candidate should have all the requirements stipulated by MCI / DCI. Accordingly, they should have successfully passed their M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. from an institution recognized by MCI / DCI, and must have completed or completing their internship by 30/04/2013 at the latest. As per the Existing Post Graduate Regulation of Medical Council of India, the minimum percentage of marks in the entrance test Comedk PGET required for eligibility and to take admission to Post Graduate Courses shall be 50% for General Merit andidates and 40% for the candidates belonging to (All India) and other backward classes belonging to Karnataka State only. As specified by the Dental Council of India, the minimum percentage of marks in the Entrance Test Comedk PGET required for eligibility and to take admission to Post Graduate Courses shall be 50% for General Merit candidates and 40% for the candidates belonging to SC, ST (All India) and other backward classes belonging to Karnataka State only. Rank list / Rank Card will be prepared only for those candidates who become eligible for admission to Post Graduate Courses as per the regulations of Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India Regulations.
